January

January Theme: Winter Camping

January 2, 3, 4 Camp Hawk Mountain, we will leave early on Friday January 2, and return early on January 4 (Training of New Leaders, fun trip) (trip was cancelled)

January 9 PLC at 6:30pm. At the start of the regular meeting there will be a prayer service for Mr. Bill.  Additionally the patrols will meet in patrol corners to come up with a name, cheer, and quartermaster.

January 16 Fruit Order Due followed by presentation by Josh on winter camping; patrol corners to come up with skit and cheer for upcoming scout banquet. Video will be presented on Hawk Mountain Summer Camp

January 23, 24 Fruit Order Delivery and Pick-up be there by 6:00 PM

January 30 Scott M Conner Eagle Court of Honor 7:00PM at St. Joseph Church. Please arrive early and in class A uniform with neckerchief. There will be a reception immediately following in the Parish Center. Scouting families are asked to bring a desert and/or drinks.

February Theme: Snow Sports
February 6 PLC at 6:30pm. Snow sports theme (presentation by Scott A.) Skits/Cheers for Scout Banquet. Welcome night for Weblos.

February 13 Fruit Order Due, prepare skits for Scout banquet

February 20, 21 Fruit Order Delivery and Pick-up be there by 6:00pm, collect for camping trip

February 22  Scout Banquet 1:30PM at Parish Center

February 27, 28 and March 1 Camp Ware in Horseshoe leave at 6:30pm

March Theme: Pioneering
March 6 PLC at 6:30pm. Patrol Corners

March 8  St. Joseph Church is having a Scout Mass at 12:30PM. All Scouts (Boy, Cub, Girl, Brownies) will be there. Mr. Walt has asked that all the Boy Scouts try to make this mass.

March 13-15 Timberline Ski Trip (Mr. Mark Anderson)
 
March 20 OA Elections (Tentative). Merit Badge and Advancement night. Easter candy orders due back to Mr. Mike Cox

March 22 Bridging Ceremony for Cub Scouts. Several Scouts may be asked to assist with this ceremony.

March 27 PLC at 6:30PM. Merit Badge and Advancement night.
 

April

April Theme: Aquatics
April 3 Brad's Eagle Court of Honor will be at 7:00PM please arrive early. Class A uniform with neckerchief. 

April 4 Auto Mechanics Merit Badge: Mr. Jim Vickers' house

April 10 NO Scout Meeting Happy Easter

April 17 Regular Meeting at 7:00PM (prepare for Camporee) Leaves, Flags, Tracks
Collect permission forms for Camporee

April 18 Meet at the Scout Building (Scout skills for Camporee) time to be announced on Friday

April 24, 25 and 26 Camporee at Broad Creek (OA Brotherhood Conversion available)

May Theme: Hiking presentation by Sam
May 1 Senior Patrol and Patrol Leader Elections plus exciting Scout games
                                                                             
May 8 PLC at 6:30pm. Merit Badge and Advancement. Collect for camping trip.

May 9 Josh's Eagle Project at Jerusalem Mills. Please help out by being there at 9:00AM

May 15, 16, 17 White Water Rafting

May 22 NO Scout Meeting Memorial Day Weekend

May 24 Memorial Day Honor Garden -- A sunset (7:00PM) service honoring all military, past, present, living and deceased. Visit this link for details.

May 29 Sports night 6:30PM start time. Class B uniform.

June

June Theme: Camping
June 5 PLC at 6:30pm. Patrol Corners Tent Competition

June 6 Special Olympics meet at the Scout Building at 0845 AM. (See Mr. Calvin and Ms. Lisa for questions)

June 7 Cub Scout Campfire 1:00-3:00. Please help out. Class A uniform.

June 12 Merit Badge and Advancement

June 19 Cory's Eagle Court of Honor. Full Class A uniform, with neckerchief.

June 26 Gettysburg Battle Field Trip Leave at 6:00pm or sooner (tentative)

July Theme: Safety (focus Safe Swim Defense, Safety Afloat)
July 3 NO Scout Meeting Independence Day

July 10 PLC at 6:30pm. Patrol Corners (Swimming presentation by Mike)

July 17 Last minute summer camp prep

July 19 – 25 Summer Camp at Hawk Mountain Scout Reservation

July 31 Regular meeting at 730PM First Aid Training Class

August

August Theme: Backpacking

August 7  Collect permission forms for Camp Ed. Backpacking Presentation, Knot Tying, Compass Reading and Orienteering             

August 14-16. Camp Ed

August 21 Ben's Eagle Court of Honor. Please meet at the Parish Center at 6:45PM in full Class A uniform with neckerchief.

August 21, 22, and 23 OA Ordeal

August 28 Backpacking demonstration

September Theme: Leadership


September 4 NO Scout Meeting Labor Day

September 11 PLC at 6:30pm. Patrol Corners

September 18 Appalachian Trail Trip

September 25 Awards night. Class A uniform. Awards and merit badges will be presented.

October

October Theme: Biking

October 2 PLC at 6:30pm. PLC to decide date for annual planning meeting. Patrol Corners

October 9  "Back to Basics" night. Lashing will be the special topic.

October 16 Meeting now scheduled. Topic will be Food/Cooking.

October 15, 16, 17 and 18 Brownsea Training (By invitation)

October 23 Merit Badge and Advancement night. Citrus information handed out.

October 24 Hershey Park Trip. Leave on 24 October 10:00AM. Return on 25 October. Camp at Hershey Highmeadow Campground.

October 30 Preparation for fruit drive. New Scouts and at least one of their parents should arrive at 6:30 to learn details of our fruit drive.

November

 November Theme: Public Service

November 1 Annual Troop planning meeting. (Time 0645AM) Meet in front of church in Class A uniform. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.        

November 6, 7 and 8 Biking trip on the NCR Trail/Camping at NoRay.

November 13 PLC at 6:00 Fruit Orders due, Leadership meeting in preparation for elections

November 20 Fruit order delivery, be at the St. Joe gym at 6:00 PM No uniform requirement. Bowling at Perry Hall Bowling Alley after fruit delivery.

November 21 Return to St. Joe Gym at 7:15 AM with Class A uniform. Fruit Order Pick-up until 12:00pm. Service project for some scouts, painting curbs red at St. Joseph Church.

November 27 No Scout Meeting Happy Thanksgiving

December

 December Theme: Continue Public Service

December 4 Patrol Leader Elections 

December 11 Probable fruit orders due

December 17 Fruit order delivery, be at the St. Joe gym at 6:00 PM No uniform requirement.

December 18 Return to St. Joe Gym at 7:15 AM with Class A uniform. Fruit Order Pick-up until 12:00pm.

December 25 No Scout Meeting Merry Christmas
