The Troop Held a Committee Meeting on January 23rd. In attendance were Mr. Anthony, Mr. Brewer, Mr. Cleary, Mr. Cox, Mr. Crist, Mr. Freeburger, Mr. Gouldmann, Ms. Holmes, Mr. Luken, Mr.O'Brien and Mr. Smith. Mr. Gouldmann led off the meeting with the Lord's Prayer. The Next committee meeting will be FEBRUARY 19. Meetings are held in the Church Lower Room and begin at 7:00 . Please remember that all troop adults are encouraged to attend these meetings.
Next Camping trips -March 12, 13, and 14 Shawnee Ski trip and March 26, 27, and 28 at the Dulaney District Camporee.
At the scout banquet, Mr. Hill and Mr. Bell share a few stories about scouting in the good old days.
Eagle Advancement - Scouts who are working on eagle projects or are close to selecting projects are requested to attend the March committee meeting to update the committee, discuss their plans and receive words of advice and encouragement.
Utah/Arizona trip - Ms. Holmes provided an update on progress in planning the trip. Help is needed to plan the details of the trip. Please contact Mr. Luken if you can help. Airline reservations will need to be made soon. Boy Scout and STAND diocese youth protection training is required for all adults (18 or over) attending the trip. We'll provide more information on dates of this training in the future.
Venturing Crew - Dulaney District Executive, Bob Giovagnoni will be on hand at the February 19 th committee meeting to discuss the venturing crew program for older scouts.
Fruit Drive - Hang on to your fruit brochures. The troop may take part in one more fruit drive in March to make up for lost sales from the short Navel orange season this year.
Pests at the Scout Building - The scout building has been treated. Please help us keep it clean so as not to attract unwanted pests.
Training Chair needed - We're looking for an adult who will track training events attended by scouts and adults. Please see Mr. Gouldmann or Mr. Freeburger if you can help. |
