The Troop Held a Committee Meeting on April 15th. In attendance were Mr. Anthony, Mr. Clary, Mr. Crist, Mr. Gouldmann, Mr. Luken, and Ms. Podhorniak. Mr. Gouldmann led off the meeting with the Lord's Prayer. The Next committee meeting will be Monday May 24th. Note the change in day. Meetings are held in the Church Lower Room and begin at 7:00. Please remember that all troop adults are encouraged to attend these meetings.

Next Camping trip - May 21, 22, and 23 - Bike trip on the C&O canal. Meet at the scout building at 6:00PM on Friday, May 21 st . Patrol leaders will be calling to see who is attending this trip. Bikes with gears are highly recommended.

Eagle Advancement - Mike presented and received approval from the committee for his project. Mike will improve the area around an old hunting cabin at the Marshy Point Nature Center. Keep up the good work Mike!

2003/4 Fruit Drive - Thank you all for your hours of hard work towards this successful fundraiser. Without your help the cost of troop activities would be so much higher for our scouts.

Special Olympics on June 5, 2004 - Every year the troop helps out with this event, which is held at the U of MD, College Park . Our help usually consists of distributing prepared box lunches. We will leave the scout building at 8:30 and return at approximately 3:00 or 3:30. The troop is looking for two adults to co-chair the troops assistance with this event. Adult and scout help is needed too.

Utah/Arizona trip - Balance due payments are due May 8th. Medical forms should be turned in to Mr. Tim Smith by June 4th. Mr. Crist will collect raft trip permission forms. Consider that as you schedule your physicals. Boys should select the merit badges that they are interested in soon. Some merit badges require parent approval. In addition, some merit badges require some parts to be completed prior to camp. The troop will try to arrange swimming tests prior to leaving for camp to save time at camp. Mr. Ritter needs help planning a few meals that the troop will make on the trip. Please see Mr. Ritter if you can help.
