JD Eagle Ceremony - January 28 th - Scouts should wear Class A uniforms and bring a bottle of soda and a dessert.

Fruit Drive - For the next fruit order, navel oranges may be available in 2/5 cases, but that is not yet known. Honeybells will be available for sure in 2/5 cartons only at $21.00.  Grapefruit also will be available in 2/5 cartons at $14.00 and 4/5 cartons at $25.00. Please remember to call everyone on your list early enough to allow for repeat calls if they aren't home. Orders are due on January 14th . On the morning of Saturday, January 15, we are looking for some parents to provide a few hours of time to help make additional calls. Please see Mr. Luken if you can help. Please try to also sell fruit on your own.

First Aid and CPR Training - The troop is also looking into obtaining this training in the future.

Dulaney District Training Opportunities
- 1/15 New Leader Essentials, 1/20 Youth Protection, 3/17 Training Committees, 4/12 Life to Eagle Roundtable, etc. For additional information please see the district web site at www.dulaneybsa.org/2005Training.htm .

Increased costs of last summer van rentals - Mr. Luken received a bill for cracked windshields in our rental vans. Mr. King volunteered to call the rental company to negotiate.

New tents - Mr. King noted that the troop needs additional tents and recommended that we purchase Coleman tents similar to the model that he is using.

Dues still outstanding - a number of adults and scouts have not paid dues. Please see Mr. Norbert if you are one of them.

Sign up to help - Mr. Gouldmann said that information will be sent out on what areas the troop needs assistance. Please consider helping so we continue to have a smooth operating troop.

Web site update - Mr. Lelonek has found a design and template to use. The web site will include troop history, merit badge counselor list, and forms such as trip permission slips. The Hiker will also be posted. Thanks Rick!

Possible changes in organization of new scouts - Mr. Gagliardi discussed the possibility of keeping new scouts in one patrol until they are more acclimated with the troop.

STAND TRAINING and BSA Youth Protection Training are required - In case you were wondering, this is not going to go away. All adults are required by the Diocese to obtain STAND Training and are required by BSA to have Youth Protection training. It is likely that adults may not be allowed to participate in future scouting events without this training. The troop is looking at the possibility of organizing the training for the troop adults.
